We want to thank you for offering to share some of your time and talents with the University Place School District's students and staff. You can play an important role in assisting in classroom activities and programs throughout the year.

We are required by law to conduct screening checks for employees and specified volunteers. This is a screening tool to help protect our students and maintain a safe school environment. We appreciate your compliance with this request.

On-Line Volunteer Application Procedures


All prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer application using the University Place School District Volunteer Application system.

Background checks will be conducted on all adults working with students as part of the application process.

Go the University Place School District home page at http://www.upsd83.org/ and click "Volunteer" under Quick Links.

Register complete the online application.

  • Complete the items in the checklist, including the mandatory disclosure.
  • Upload your driver's license to the "My Checklist" section of the application

Once approved, all volunteers must reapply every two years.
